Rev. Leslie B. James
Leslie James is a native from the West Indian Island of Dominica. He obeyed the Gospel at age twelve while attending the New Golden Heights Church of Christ in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. In 1998 his family moved to Charlotte, NC and began attending the Sugar Creek congregation. His desire is to contend earnestly for the faith and serve faithfully as one of God’s gospel preachers. His first love in ministry is disciple-making—the simple biblical model of teaching God’s Word, and mentoring others to maturity in Christ. Leslie James became a Board Member and Executive Director of Communities Doing Good Inc., in 2015. His primary responsibilities in this role are providing strategic and conceptual leadership to our team, writing and speaking, and representing CDGI to our partners. Leslie holds an M.S. in Nonprofit Management and Leadership and is pursuing the Doctorate of Strategic Leadership from Regent University’s School of Business and Leadership. He and his wife have two children. “My path to CDGI began with a fervent desire to invest my time to make a difference in the lives of others. I see how the organization is bringing to bare new tools and opportunities to solve local challenges in innovative ways.
